Chouette Kit started with two super creative crafters and artists, Chris & Clo. The original idea, still standing today, was to modernize old fashioned handmade crafts, like sewing and crochet. They wanted to offer more modern solutions, by inventing trendy, ready to make projects sold in kits, with something for every kind of crafter, from beginner to expert!
The idea bloomed, it became a tangible project. Chouette Kit was born in France in 2012. What was at start a huge bet is now a creative workshop, open minded, idea rich and super-connected.
What hasn’t changed since the beginning of our journey ? We feel like we’re permanently running a marathon. It’s exhausting but also very stimulating. Making new collections so frequently is a bit crazy and overwhelming, but it’s the Chouette Kit’s raison d’être and a huge part of our identity.
Thus, every 6 weeks, for your pleasure, we start with a blank page and we rebuild everything. First we list all the materials we’ve been hunting for weeks, then it’s on with the sketchbooks, on with the ideas, our fashion dreams and our heart’s desires, followed by hours of brainstorming. A path emerges like a story, we then follow that string out of the maze of our ideas, and everything becomes easy. A new collection is born. It looks every bit overwhelming and crazy as it really is, but we enjoy the process!
